Medicare Advantage plans are helping seniors get active, socialize and learn about living well — covering the costs of gym memberships and offering free fitness classes. In 2012, Priority Health launched its Silver and Fit program. Last year, approximately 6,100 seniors used Priority’s Silver and Fit program, dropping by a gym about 7.6 times a month, according to Wayne Wilson, vice president of senior products at Priority. By this year, more than 7,000 Priority seniors came to the gym more than 31.1 times a month, Wilson said.
