Please join us on Friday, July 28 at 4:30 p.m. ET to discuss how ACHP member plans are providing transgender person care. Dr. Erica Metz of Kaiser Permanente Northern California will share the evolution and operation of one of the most comprehensive programs for transgender person care in the United States. Kaiser Permanente Northern California now provides the full spectrum of gender affirming procedures, as well as transition-specific mental health and medical care.
Two members of the Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) team, Dr. Alison Craig and Jen McCoy, will discuss the development of a multidisciplinary working group aimed at improving transgender person care across their organization. Under the umbrella of their Health Equity Strategic Plan and in collaboration with community organizations, the working group is building capacity within the electronic health record system, clinical services, staff training and welcoming environments. Dr. Craig and Rene Salazar, M.S., PMP, business strategy analyst at GHC-SCW, have been leading the plan’s efforts to close the healthcare gap for transgender individuals.
We encourage you to circulate the event invite to others on your team who would be interested in this discussion.
