Alliance of Community Health Plans Welcomes Leah Hunter as
Associate Director of Communications

Washington, D.C. (April 10, 2017) – The Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) has named Leah Hunter to lead its Communications Department.  In her role,  Hunter will oversee external communications initiatives and play a key strategic role in promoting the alliance’s advocacy agenda through various external communications channels.

“ACHP has just gained a valuable asset in Leah Hunter and we could not be more thrilled to welcome her to our growing team,” said ACHP President and CEO Ceci Connolly. “Her experience at HHS and on the Hill brings Leah to us with deep knowledge of our complex industry in addition to her communications expertise. Her unique skill set will be critical as ACHP advances the unique interests of nonprofit, community-based health plans.”

Hunter comes to ACHP from the Department of Health and Human Services, where she served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs. Prior to her time at HHS, Hunter served as Press Secretary for Senator Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin and as Communications Director for Congressman Ron Kind. She also spent time at DBC PR+New Media as well as Rippe Keane Marketing. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin.
