CLIP: Priority Health and Security Health Plan adapt to the end of CSR payments

The end of CSR payments resulted in increased premium subsidies for many customers shopping on the ACA exchanges. That allowed many to purchase coverage for little or no monthly cost or enroll in a plan with greater coverage. Priority Health in Michigan experienced a migration to less expensive plans that come with no monthly cost for many. Many individuals not eligible for subsidies switched to gold plans. Security Health Plan in Wisconsin saw the number of enrollees in gold plans — which cover an estimated 80 percent of a patient’s costs — more than quadruple.
