Support For Depression

Like the rest of America, ACHP mourns the loss of comic genius Robin Williams. We urge those in need to reach out and speak with their doctors. Approximately 61.5 million people in this country experience some form of mental illness in their lifetime – that’s one in four adults. And approximately 60 percent of adults with mental illness do not receive the necessary help they need.

Depression affects every one of us in some way or another – either personally or through someone we know. It’s important to understand the signs of depression and speak up so you can get the help you need.

ACHP plans believe strongly in the support of mental health and have created innovative programs to identify mental illness, improve care and reduce stigma. ACHP will be publishing a brief devoted to mental health in the fall.
