ACHP Members Among America's Best

Alliance of Community Health Plans members have a proud heritage of working together to improve the quality of coverage and care they provide in their communities. In fact, it was ACHP members who created the original measures of health plan clinical quality, also known as HEDIS, which are now administered by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. These quality measures, along with others that evaluate a health plan's customer service, are the basis of U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Health Plans" rankings.

Year after year, ACHP members are included among the highest-performing health plans in the nation. ACHP members again in 2008 were recognized for their excellent care and customer service in every product line: commercial, Medicare and Medicaid.
