Every year, SelectHealth recognizes 25 organizations that are working to improve health, build communities and serve special populations through a program called Select 25. This year, Sanpete County Food Pantry in Utah was recognized with an award of $2,500.
During the week, many low-income children receive their meals at school. Through its KidPack program, the food pantry prepares kits with nutritious meals and snacks each week and drops them off at a number of local schools to keep kids from being hungry through the weekend. The grant will allow the pantry to expand the KidPack program to all of the elementary schools in Sanpete County.
