A Quarter of Affordable Care Act Enrollees Were Uninsured, Priority Health Survey Finds

Nearly a quarter of those who signed up for an Affordable Care Act plan offered by Priority Health were previously uninsured, according to a recent survey. Priority Health surveyed those enrolling in 2014 MyPriority plans. Despite glitches in the healthcare.gov website, almost half of the insurer’s individual plans were purchased through the online Health Insurance Marketplace.

To address consumer’s questions, Priority Health is planning a social media and print campaign and will hold informational meetings before enrollment closes March 31 for Affordable Care Act plans.
