Organizations Launch Kaiser Permanente-Funded Project to Build Safety Net Capacity, Collaboration

America’s Essential Hospitals, the National Association of Community Health Centers and The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services have launched a Kaiser Permanente-funded project to help safety net providers prepare for and realize the promise of expanded health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

A $1.8 million grant from Kaiser Permanente’s Community Benefit arm will support the three-year project, which will align hospitals, clinics and other components of the safety net toward meeting new demands for access and quality and foster collaboration to build medical homes.
