Marshfield Clinic Receives One Million Dollar Grant to Expand Telehealth Programs, Improve Patient Access

Marshfield Clinic recently received a $1 million grant that will help physicians connect through videoconferencing with some of the most critically injured and acutely ill patients at rural Wisconsin hospitals. The grant – awarded by the Health Resources and Services Administration, part of the U.S. Health and Human Services Department – will support a number of Marshfield Clinic TeleHealth initiatives, including the creation of a pediatric intensivist TeleHealth program and the expansion of a piloted e-hospitalist program.“The really great thing about this grant is it takes us outside the traditional outpatient visits and leverages our superb specialists out in the region where there are none,” said Nina Antoniotti, director of TeleHealth at Marshfield Clinic.
