Kaiser Permanente Recognized as a Model for Improving Public Health

A new report published by the Commonwealth Center for Governance Studies at the University of Kentucky recognizes Kaiser Permanente for its successful efforts to improve public health. The report highlights Kaiser Permanente’s Community Health Initiatives as one of the nation’s top examples of hospital-public health collaboration. With a focus on healthful eating, active living, community safety, economic stability and social and emotional health, the collaborative addresses the broader forces – social, economic and environmental – that shape health across communities and population groups.
