Kaiser Permanente to Host 30 Sites for ‘Prescription Drug Take-Back Day’

Kaiser Permanente facilities in California, Washington and Oregon, in partnership with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, will be participating in the eighth “National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day” on Saturday, April 26. A total of 30 Kaiser Permanente sites will be available for residents who want to safely and easily dispose of expired, unwanted or unused medicines. The service is free and anonymous.

Through this program over the past three years, the DEA and its partners have collected more than 3.4 million pounds of expired or unwanted medicines nationwide that could otherwise have been a hazard to the safety of families, local communities and the environment.
