Institute of Medicine Elects 70 New Members, 10 Foreign Associates

George Isham, M.D., M.S., senior adviser at HealthPartners and senior fellow at HealthPartners Institute for Education & Research in Minneapolis, Minn., is among the 70 new members and 10 foreign associates elected to the Institute of Medicine (IOM) at its 44th Annual Meeting. Established in 1970 by the National Academy of Sciences, IOM is recognized as a national resource for independent, scientifically informed analysis and recommendations on health issues. Election to the IOM is considered one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine and recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and commitment to service.
