Independent Health Employees Raised More Than $2,500 for Earthquake in Nepal

Independent Health conducted a dress-down day and raised more than $2,500 to support the people in Nepal who were affected by the April 25 earthquake. Employees contributed $2 or more for the opportunity to dress down at work.The group presented a check to the Buffalo American Red Cross Chapter. The money raised will go toward the global Red Cross response to the earthquake and the funds will be used to distribute relief items and ensure access to clean water. Independent Health’s dress-down program allows employees to make a charitable contribution in exchange for the privilege of dressing down for work.
