HealthPartners Wins State Award For Leadership in Sustainability

HealthPartners has been honored with the Minnesota Waste Wise Foundation Leader award for demonstrating the significant impact that conservation efforts can have on an organization and community. The annual award is given to a Foundation member that has shown leadership in the tenets of the program.

HealthPartners’ conservation efforts saved more than 31 billion BTUs of energy, 630,000 gallons of water and 1,200 tons of waste in 2012, according to Minnesota Waste Wise Foundation Executive Director Jill Curran. The 31.37 BTUs of energy HealthPartners saved is equal to taking 482 cars completely off the road forever.
