Group Health and CEO Scott Armstrong Among Top Newsmakers of 2013

Each December the Puget Sound Business Journal looks at its editorial coverage over the last year and selects executives and organizations worthy of being recognized as “Top Newsmakers.” This year, Scott Armstrong and Group Health were chosen as “achievers” in the Journal’s annual year-in-review.

The Journal writes, “Scott Armstrong has fought to bring Group Health back from the brink of financial crisis. It’s been a difficult road, but in the past 18 months the CEO of the Seattle-based provider network has slashed $250 million in expenses…Armstrong also had launched initiatives to bring Group Health into the next era of health care, including a partnership to open in-store clinics with Seattle-based Bartell Drugs in 2014.”
