Dean Physician Named Family Medicine Educator of the Year

The Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians (WAFP) is honoring Aaron A. Dunn, M.D., with the 2013 Family Medicine Educator of the Year Award, which recognizes physicians who provide outstanding and comprehensive family medicine education to medical students, residents and new physicians.

Outside of Dunn’s clinical and teaching work at Dean Clinic and Upland Hills Health Hospital, he dedicates time to the community. Dunn is the founder and medical director of Community Connections Free Clinic, which serves the uninsured in Iowa County. He has supervised medical students at the Salvation Army Medical Clinic in Madison, Wis., and founded Verona Senior Connections, a group of Verona Clinic staff and residents that organizes health maintenance talks for seniors.
