CDPHP Awards $750,000 to Local Docs for High-Quality, Cost-Effective Care

Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan (CDPHP) has awarded $750,000 to local physicians for achievements in patient satisfaction, quality of care and efficiency in health care services. The practices, all of which are part of the CDPHP Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) initiative, use coordinated health care to improve patients’ lives and lower health care costs.

An independent analysis of the EPC initiative showed the program reduced inpatient admissions by 15 percent, reduced emergency room visits by nine percent and saved members on average $8 per month.
