CareOregon Contributes to Hospital-Based Dental Clinic

As part of a broad effort to improve dental health for low-income Oregonians, CareOregon has contributed $50,000 to Providence Milwaukie Foundation’s effort to integrate dental care on the Providence Milwaukie Hospital campus. Having co-located dental and medical health facilities is valuable to the hospital because it improves the patient’s experience and the coordination of care from providers.

CareOregon is considering a variety of ways to improve dental health for members of the various Coordinated Care Organization (CCOs) with which it works. One way is by supporting community partners that also are committed to meeting the oral health needs of members.
