Kaiser Permanente Kicks Off New API With 24-Hour Code-A-Thon

Kaiser Permanente jump-started the launch of its first application programming interface, InterchangeSM by Kaiser Permanente, with a 24-hour code-a-thon at the Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health in Washington, D.C., on June 5 and 6. Attendees were divided into teams and asked to create mobile applications using the Kaiser Permanente interface. After a full 24 hours of brainstorming and coding, the teams presented their apps to a panel of judges. Judges evaluated potential to improve total health, creativity, concept originality, usability and design.
