Essential Health Benefits
Department of Labor – Selected Medical benefits
The Department of Labor published its report to the Department of Health and Human Services. The Dept. of Labor extracted coverage information from approximately 3,200 employer health plan documents. This survey and report were required by the ACA. The Institute of Medicine is currently working to develop recommendations for essential health benefits here.

Comments are due by October 31; the IRS is planning to hold a hearing to discuss this proposed rule on November 17, suggested agenda items for that meeting are due to the IRS by November 10.
