Inner-City Asthma Intervention

The Alliance of Community Health Plans Foundation recently completed work on the Inner-City Asthma Intervention, a major multi-year Centers for Disease Control and Prevention project, implemented in clinical intervention sites across the country to help alleviate asthma among children living in inner-cities. In addition to helping address the asthma needs of children and their parents, Inner-City Asthma Intervention produced valuable information that will be used to improve asthma intervention efforts.

The collective experience of the Inner-City Asthma Intervention is presented in the articles below, which can also be found as a supplement to the July 2006 issue of the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. For additional information about the Inner-City Asthma Intervention (ICAI), you can read the Alleviate Asthma! A Tool Kit for Health Care Organizations available on ACHP's website.
