Washington, D.C. – The Board of Directors of the Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) elected Cheryl Scott, president and CEO of Group Health Cooperative (Seattle, Washington), as chair at its meeting in January.
“I am delighted to turn the chair over to Ms. Scott,” noted Art Goshin, MD, president and CEO of Excellus-Univera Healthcare (Buffalo, New York), who has served as chair for five years. “The entire board looks forward to her leadership.”
Ms. Scott said, “It is an honor to follow Art Goshin as chair. ACHP’s mission is especially important today, as our nation struggles with affordable, accessible and quality health care. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the board and the staff in continuing to pursue ACHP’s mission of promoting the highest standards of health care quality and health improvement.”
The board also elected Eric Schultz, President and CEO of Fallon Community Health Plan (Worcester, Massachusetts), as Vice-Chair, and David Abernethy, Senior Vice President of HIP of New York, as Secretary / Treasurer.
