ACHP Statement on Senate Bipartisan Health Care Plan

Washington, D.C. (October 17, 2017) – The Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) released a statement today in response to a bipartisan deal in the Senate to fund cost sharing reduction subsidies. ACHP President and CEO Ceci Connolly made the below statement:

“Cost sharing reduction subsidies are critical to ensuring access to affordable health coverage for millions of working Americans. We are pleased to see a bipartisan proposal moving forward in the Senate and look forward to additional details.

“We urge swift Congressional action to provide the widest access to coverage for consumers and some certainty to the market in 2018. ACHP and its member plans stand ready to work with Congress to protect coverage gains, ensure affordable health care and stabilize the market.”
