ACHP Statement on HELP Committee Hearings on Stabilizing the Market

Washington, D.C. (September 6, 2017) – The Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) released a statement today in response to Senate HELP Committee hearings on stabilizing the individual health insurance market. ACHP President and CEO Ceci Connolly made the below statement:

“We appreciate Chairman Alexander and Senator Murray’s commitment to finding solutions to stabilize the market and thank them for their bipartisan approach. ACHP and its member plans look forward to working with both parties on improving our nation’s health care system.”

“ACHP member plans are committed to providing high-quality health coverage to communities across our country. But market stability and predictability are critical to that success.  The cost sharing reduction subsidies currently in question are vital to ensuring millions of hard-working Americans have access to affordable health care.”
