Becoming an ACHP Member

Membership in the Alliance of Community Health Plans is typically by invitation. However, interested organizations may be considered if they meet the following criteria: 

  • Strongly committed to quality improvement and value
  • Not-for-profit or provider-sponsored
  • Maintain a closer connection between financing and delivery than prevails in a typical insurance arrangement
  • Include HMO products among their offerings
  • Have roots in and commitment to their local community

ACHP members are also among the top-performing plans in their state or region on the HEDIS and CAHPS measures of quality and are united by their commitment to learning from other members and sharing best practices from their own organization. Our members enjoy numerous benefits, which help them identify opportunities, overcome challenges and strengthen their organizations.
